(in)SPYR – WordPress Theme Review

Print Friendly

inSPYR-theme_1I just finished installing a new theme on my wife's natural hair website and the experience was completely awesome! In fact, my experience with all StudioPress (Genesis based) themes thus far has been great. As I have previously discussed here on my site, it is my goal to let each and every one of my readers know when I find an awesome product that you can use on your website. I only want to review / promote products that I am either using or have used in the past and I also believe that those products must be beneficial to you, my readers. This is one of those products! I have installed and worked with allot of different themes and this one is extremely easy to setup, configure and use.

Why Using a Genesis Based Theme is a Good Idea

When I am building a new WordPress website or updating an older one, there are a couple of different things that I want to achieve with the theme I am installing or with any type of customization that I may be doing to the site. Below I am giving you a short list of the things that I look for, and the Genesis Framework provides these hands down, without question.
  • In regards to code:
    • The code should be clean, well structured, and free from affiliate links and other types nonsense typically found in a "free" theme.
    • The code should render Valid HTML code when possible.
  • Setup should be quick and easy.
  • Theme configuration should be easy and straightforward.
  • The theme should be SEO optimized.
  • Finally, do not put limits on me! Give me unlimited support, let me install the theme on unlimited websites/domains, and give me unlimited updates! Genesis provides all of these!

However, Genesis is simply a framework that provides all of the underlying code that the actual theme (E.g. (in)SPYR) needs in order to run properly in WordPress.

Now ... on to the good stuff!!

(in)SPYR is an awesome theme!

Installing and configuring the (in)SPYR theme is a breeze! After purchasing and downloading the theme from StudioPress, simply login to WordPress and install the new theme. Then, this is where the fun stuff starts! :-D Configuring this theme is absolutely the easiest thing that I have ever done with any WP theme. They have designed the admin interface so that all of the necessary options & choices are available to you with merely a few simple clicks! They have even included their setup and configuration tutorials right in the WordPress admin interface for easy access if you find yourself needing some assistance along the way. I have included some various screen shots below for you so you can see some of the options for yourself before you decide to buy this theme.

Primary Reasons I chose this theme

When choosing a theme, you should always remember that you want the theme to work with you and not against you! Your time is valuable, and unless you want to spend all of your time setting up and configuring your new theme, I believe that you should always consider the following:
  1. Is your theme's primary configuration menu-driven? - (in)SPYR is!
  2. Is your theme's setup primarily configured via widgets? - (in)SPYR can be!
  3. Can your theme be customized easily, without modifying the core theme files (Outside of the configuration options provided)? - (in)SPYR can be!
  4. If you have heavily customized your theme, will future upgrades overwrite these changes? - With approximately five minutes planning ahead of time, you can customize (in)SPYR to your hearts content and future upgrades will NOT affect your customizations!
Actually, there are allot of things to consider when deciding on a theme, such as: who will your audience be, what color schemes do you like, general layout / design options, etc., but the questions that I have just asked you to consider in the list above, will definitely get you headed in the right direction.
Additionally, you should always remember that because of how the Genesis Framework is designed, your customization options are nearly unlimited, literally! There is a great support forum provided to those whom have purchased Genesis based products, and of course you can always ask folks like myself about different customization options that are available to you, or last but not least, you can always search Google for ideas as well.

Another great thing about purchasing this theme is that the nice folks over at SPYR MEDIA that designed this theme will answer any and all of your questions in the forum quickly and completely. You will not be left out in the cold if you purchase this theme.

top-selling-genesis-child-theme I would like to leave my readers with this final thought about the (in)SPYR theme: Download & install time: 3mins, Setup & configuration time: 10 mins, General customization time: 7 mins.

The total time that I spent on my wife's blog was a mere 20 mins getting it up and running with the (in)SPYR theme!

That friends, is incredible! Get your copy today by clicking the "buy" link now.
I greatly appreciate you taking the time to read my review about this WordPress theme and I sincerely hope that you will be able to use this theme on a future project of yours. I am firmly convinced that your experience will be as enjoyable as mine, and if its not, please don't hesitate to let me know.
